MEET BATTLESHIP
THE NEWEST RIG IN THE FLEET.
Battleship is our 2024 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon X 2-door, picked up from Beach Ford in Virginia Beach, Virginia. It’s one of our main vehicles for hunting trips, off-road exploring, outdoor filming and equipment testing.
Legendary Rubicon off-road hardware, a compact 2-door wheelbase and serious 4x4 make it the right foundation for a growing outdoor media platform.
But we’re not leaving it stock.

THE BATTLESHIP BUILD
THE MISSION.
Turn Battleship into a capable, reliable off-road and outdoor media rig without giving up highway manners or everyday driving.
PHASE 1
Completed Oct 31, 2026
RECOVERY EQUIPMENT.
First upgrade is done. Battleship now runs a WARN VR EVO 12-S 12,000-lb synthetic-rope winch on a WARN Jeep JL mounting system. I installed it myself.
12,000-lb rated line pull
90 feet of synthetic recovery rope
IP68 waterproof construction
Three-stage planetary gear system
Wired and wireless remote
Serious recovery for muddy trails, remote hunting ground and getting a buddy unstuck. Bought from Trick Trucks with my own money.
PHASE 2
Next up
SUSPENSION.
A 2 to 2.5-inch replacement-coil lift: more ground clearance and better trail performance while keeping a low center of gravity.
On the short list: Skyjacker 2.5-inch Dual-Rate suspension.
JL20RBKLT replacement-coil lift
JL2025X ADX 2.0 reservoir shocks
JL24LL lower control arms
Final parts depend on verified fitment, suspension geometry and highway handling. The goal is a stable, trail-capable 2-door, not a tall show truck.
PHASE 3
Planning
TIRES, WHEELS & ARMOR.
35-inch all-terrain or mud-terrain tires
Heavy-duty off-road wheels
Differential and underbody protection
Spare-tire carrier reinforcement
More recovery gear
PHASE 4
In development
MEDIA & TECH.
Battleship doubles as the Naked Antlers camera truck.
Dash-mounted camera systems
GoPro and action-camera mounts
GPS and trail navigation
Vehicle-mounted filming accessories
Recovery and emergency communications
Disclosure: Everything on Battleship so far was bought with my own money. No brand sponsors this build. If I ever earn a commission through a link or get a part free, I’ll say so right next to it. Full disclosure
Full reviews of each part are coming after real use.
